The children returned to the crèche after a happy and safe Easter holiday.
We started off the term making some wonderful, colourful pictures of Mum for Mother’s Day (with green & yellow hair!). Mother’s day was followed by fun activities about autumn. We looked at coloured leaves of all shapes and sizes and then the children made their very own large autumn tree– come and see it on display in the crèche.
The tree is not the only example of the children’s handiwork. They also made a huge Grandfather clock covered in mice – their interpretation of the nursery rhyme Hickory Dickory Dock.
The children had a fun term, filled with colours, shapes, singing and developing their skills and friendships.
The other great news is that last term we welcomed qualified teacher Fiona Lanigan, who has volunteered to be our Emergency Creche person. This will make life so much easier when one of us is off sick. Thank you Fiona.
We all look forward to another upcoming term filled with just as much fun, colour & creativity.
Til next term….Liz & Donna.
